Chipotle Brings Back Carne Asada

Fan-favorite Carne Asada is available at Chipotle again for a limited-time. Fingers crossed that this comeback will be for good.

“Over the past few years, our fans’ passion for Carne Asada has rivaled any other Chipotle menu item,” said Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer. “Now, we’ve answered the call, brought back this iconic protein, and introduced an entirely new way to try Carne Asada with the Carne Asada Quesadilla.”

Carne Asada has become a menu favorite and Chipotle estimates that over 10 million customers ordered Carne Asada during that first limited run. It reappeared in 2020 and is now one of Chipotle’s most requested menu items. For its three-peat, customers can enjoy the new Carne Asada Quesadilla for the first time. Along with the coveted protein, it includes melted Monterey Jack cheese, optional fajita veggies, and three sides.

Chipotle’s Carne Asada is marinated, then seasoned on the grill with cumin, coriander, and oregano, then finished with a squeeze of lime, and chopped cilantro.

Foodbeasts Marc and Elie brought their cavernous appetites to their local Chipotle to see if they can run a 7x Carne Asada Burrito — you know for the sake of foodie discovery. As seen in the video above, the mission was a delicious success, with the burrito coming out looking like the size of a newborn. Welcome to the world, young hefty one.

Head to your local Chipotle today to enjoy Carne Asada before it’s gone!
