The Street Fighter Popcorn Bucket Is Gloriously Obnoxious Headwear
If I’m being honest, movie theaters have been killing it with collectible popcorn buckets. From the IMAX camera-inspired one for The Odyssey to the recent bag of organs bucket for the new Resident Evil movie, the creativity is at an all-time high. That said, just when you think you’ve seen the best one yet, another drops and raises the bar even higher. This go-round, it’s the new popcorn bucket for the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
If you grew up with the iconic video game series, this’ll definitely get those childhood butterflies fluttering. Actor Cody Rhodes, who plays the fatigue-wearing, geometrical-hair-having Guile, revealed the bucket, and I must say, it’s fan-service perfection. Designed to resemble Guile’s classic hairdo, the bucket sports the same bright blonde color and upside-down pyramid shape. As you can imagine, that makes it perfect for filling with popcorn because, in this case, they’ve hollowed it out and transformed it into a container.
But that isn’t even the best part. You can also wear it on your head!
Sorry, Regal Cinemas goers, but AMC Theatres will have the new Street Fighter popcorn bucket all to itself. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 21, with the film’s release following on October 16.
