Calling all Costco shoppers! Just the other day, Costco sent social media comment sections and Reddit threads into a frenzy when it teased the return of a fan-favorite food court item. The retailer didn’t share any details, dropping only a mysterious caption:

“We’re taking guesses… Available at U.S. food courts only.”

Naturally, Costco fans speedily got their Sherlock on to deduce which food item might be making its big comeback. Two guesses quickly rose to the top: Costco’s beloved Combo Pizza, which disappeared in early 2020, and the Twisted Churro, which left U.S. food courts toward the end of 2023.

“!!! Combo pizza?? Churro?!” exclaimed costcohotfinds, a self-proclaimed Costco addict, on the Instagram post. Meanwhile, another fan named geminya offered a double slice of curiosity, saying, “If it ain’t the combo pizza imma crash tf out. Plz give @costco members what we want back.”

The post garnered more than 13,000 comments, with enough requests for the Combo Pizza and Churro to start a petition. People tossed plenty of other discontinued favorites into the hat, too, including the Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Bar, Polish Dog, BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich, and more.

In the end, Costco seemed content to keep everyone guessing. Instead of revealing the mystery item or even a relaunch date, the retailer left us with three words: “To be continued…”

Well, thanks to a loose-tongued employee on Reddit, we didn’t have to wait very long.

“I work at a Costco food court. Its churros,” they said, spilling all the proverbial beans. Others claiming to work at Costco chimed in with the same answer.

And now Costco has officially confirmed it: Yup, the Twisted Churro is coming back to U.S. food courts.

Costco says the returning favorite will begin popping up at locations over the coming weeks, though exact launch dates will vary. So, if you’ve spent the past few years missing that giant twisted stick of cinnamon-sugar glory after your Costco run, keep an eye on your local food court.
