Sweetgreen Launches its First Digital-Only Pickup Kitchen Location

Popular healthy eats restaurant sweetgreen, known for offering a wide-array of fresh salads and bowls, is opening a digital-only pickup location.

Hoping to make healthy options even more accessible, Sweetgreen’s digital-only pickup will help to fulfill increasing customer demand and also serve communities where full-sized restaurants can’t be supported. The idea was inspired by a growth in digital business, which accounted for 67% of sweetgreen’s 2021 total revenue.

What makes Sweetgreen’s new digital-only pickup location different from their traditional brick and mortar is that it doesn’t include an inside dining area or front service line.

Rather than waiting for orders, hungry customers can just pull up, pick up and go. This allows for a frictionless grab & go experience. An outdoor patio is provided for those who’d like to sit and enjoy their food.

Sweetgreen’s new digital-only pickup location opens on August 1st in Washington DC’s Mt. Vernon Square neighborhood. Orders can be placed on Sweetgreen’s website, mobile app and participating third-party delivery services.
