Protein Marshmallow Crispy Treats Exist, Are The Nostalgic Nutrition Bar Of Our Dreams

Growing up, the happiest moment of school lunches was when you got to the rice crispy treat at the bottom of the bag. These sticky and sweet treats were the coveted lunch trade that everyone wanted, yet refused to give up.

While these marshmallow-packed treats are loaded with sugar, meaning that in today’s more health-conscious world, you can only relive that experience in “treat yourself” mode. These protein rice crispy treats, however, may allow a more liberal consumption of our childhood favorite.

Created by Beyond Better Foods, these Cloud10 Marshmallow Crispy Treats come with 15 grams of protein per square. Made without milk or peanuts (there is egg, however), they’re tailored to those looking for a bit of indulgence while getting in their regular gains.

In total, each square has approximately 300 calories, 6-11 grams of fat, 15 grams of sugar, and 15 grams of protein. The taste is pretty comparable to the standard rice crispy treat, as you’re hard pressed to pick up trace flavors of the protein used to make these.

Cloud10’s treats fall perfectly in line with the trend of indulgent yet lower-guilt foods, with protein-packed cookies, popcorn, and even frozen cold brews popping up this year. The inner child in all of us, though, may be most excited of all for this take on a lunchtime staple.

You can find the Marshmallow Crispy Treats in several vendors nationwide, including CVS, Sprouts, and 7-11. They’re also available on Cloud10’s online store and on Amazon.
