Dunkin’ Donuts Helped Develop Its Own Beer For National Coffee Day

While most people celebrate National Coffee Day with a cup of Joe, Dunkin’ Donuts is taking a left turn and celebrating with beer.

Dunkin’ has teamed up with North Carolina beer maker Catawba Brewing Co. to make a special beer for National Coffee Day. The brew, called Dunkin’ Punkin Brown Ale, is brew using cold brew coffee and pumpkin spice. The beverage is available starting today, but only at Catawba’s four tasting rooms in Charlotte, Asheville, and Morganton.

Dunkin’ and Catawba are also giving some of the proceeds of this coffee-brewed beer to charity. One dollar of each sale will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.

Dunkin’ Punkin is the first-ever beer collab to feature ingredients from the beloved coffee chain. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely folks outside of North Carolina will be able to taste the beer. We’ll have to wait and see if it comes back on a larger scale at some point in the future.
