Dairy Queen Is Upping The Nostalgia, Brings Back The Treatzza

In 1995, Dairy Queen launched an epic dessert item known as the “Treatzza Pizza.” This dessert pizza consisted of a fudge cookie base that was topped with soft serve and four different combinations of candy bar toppings and chocolate and/or caramel drizzles. This 90s treat brought many fans into DQ joints to get a slice of this dope dessert pie.

Sadly, at some point around 2008, Dairy Queen discontinued the Treatzza and confirmed as much to a blogger hoping to score one after at least a year of not being able to find one in any U.S. store. The blogger continued the nostalgic quest of trying to locate one elsewhere until sometime last year, when a fan sent in a picture of the Treatzza back on the menu at a Dairy Queen in Illinois. This brought some hope back into the United States that DQ could make some dreams come true and put their ice cream pizza back on the menu.

Fast forward to today, and we have finally have confirmation that the Treatzza is making a triumphant return to DQ’s permanent menu. Just like before, four flavors are now available in Dairy Queen stores nationwide: Heath Bar, M&M’s, Reese’s, and Choco-Brownie. Each one comes served in eight slices, just like a regular pizza.

Dairy Queen is upping the nostalgia by also bringing back Mr. Misty drinks, or frozen slushies from the 80s and 90s, as a new line of Misty Slush beverages. Cherry, Blue-Raspberry, Grape, Strawberry-Kiwi and Lemon-Lime flavors will be available starting June 26.

If you’ve been waiting for a long time to enjoy one of these Treatzza Pizzas or Mr. Misty slushies again, now’s the time to go re-experience this 90s classic.
