IHOP Brings Back Waffle-Croissant Hybrid With New Flavors

ihop-criss-croissants®

IHOP has new limited-time breakfast hybrids. The breakfast chain just added three new flavors of Criss-Croissants. The three new flavors are Salted Caramel and Banana, Strawberries and Sweet Cream Cheese, Spinach & Roasted Red Pepper.

The Criss-Crossants are made with croissant dough and cooked it in a waffle iron, creating a waffle-like texture with the flakiness of a croissant. This isn’t the first time IHOP has featured Criss-Croissants. Last year, the pancake chain debuted the idea when they created Blackberry Lemon and Strawberry Rhubarb Criss-Croissants. The items were featured for a limited time.

The Salted Caramel and Banana features dulce de leche cream, sliced bananas and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce. Strawberries and Sweet Cream Cheese is stuffed with sweet cream cheese and topped with glazed strawberries. Spinach & Roasted Red Pepper is filled with scrambled eggs, fresh spinach, roasted red peppers and topped with white cheddar, parmesan cheese and hollandaise sauce.

The chain also added a new item to the kids Made for Fun menu, the Cheesy Cheese Pizza. The item uses the Criss-Croissants as crust and tops it with tangy marinara sauce and Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses.

The new Criss-Croissant flavors will be available through September 25.
