Take The ‘Great American Cook In Challenge’ With These 5 Delicious Recipes

All week long, we’ve been encouraging you to stay in and cook rather than go out to eat, as part of ConAgra’s #GreatAmericanCookIn Challenge. Individuals all across the country have eagerly participated, including our very own Foodbeast Family.

But if you missed the memo, and if you’re reading this, it’s not too late, because, plot twist: the #GreatAmericanCookIn Challenge doesn’t necessarily have to end this week, or ever, for that matter!

As a Food-centric publication we want to constantly challenge one another to be active and experiment in the kitchen, simply because, where would we be without our long history of cooking skill development? We wouldn’t have any of our favorite foods if there hadn’t been some brave souls pioneering in the kitchen. We wouldn’t know that certain flavor combinations could harmonize so well if we didn’t tinker with measurements and mixes. Can you imagine a life without pizza? Or pasta? Or fruit salad?

We sure can’t, and that’s reason enough to urge others to cook. Check out the recipes that were part of the challenge this week and jump on board:

Pledge to participate in the challenge to cook in for one week in May by using the #GreatAmericanCookIn hashtag, and share food photos on Twitter and Instagram.
