13 Times Birdman Demanded ‘Respeck’ From The Food World

Even if you’re not a fan of hip hop, you probably saw a lot of “respeck” being thrown around in social media this weekend, and that’s because of an angry tirade rapper/producer Birdman went on during a New York-based hip hop radio show, Friday.

Birdman paid an abrupt visit to 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” and had some violent words to say, as he felt the three hosts disrespected him at some point in the past.

“Put some respeck on my name. All tree of y’all, stop playing with my f*ckin’ name. When y’all sayin’ my name, put some ‘respeck’ on it,” the New Orleans rapper said during his visit to the radio station.

As the internet usually does, they took Birdman’s rant and turned it into thousands of memes, several of which had to do with food and “respeck,” the term that Birdman used throughout the short diatribe about his name.

Sorry, Baby. You’ve done a lot for hip hop, but the internet has spoken, and not a lot of it consists of “respeck” for your name.
