This Simple Hack Will Make An Egg Glow In The Dark

The Crazy Russian Hacker is back at it again with a pretty insane hack that turns a normal egg into an ultra violet light reactive, black light worthy, rubber bouncy ball-o-fun, that seems pretty safe to make on your own.

With experiments like this with so much upside, our advice is — if it feels good, do it. And in the words of the Crazy Russian himself, this “is a pretty awesome experiment. You have to check it out.”

With the annual Easter tradition of decorating eggs now behind us, there’s no time like the present to prepare for next year. Or, if you need a breather from egg decorating, you can use the Crazy Russian’s glowing egg experiment to make your friends trip balls at Coachella. Either way, everyone wins.

But, with these easy to find household items — white vinegar, and a yellow highlighter, both of which can probably be found in your kitchen — it’s hard to believe nobody has come forward to share this knowledge of the illuminated sooner.

Although it seems the egg needs to soak in the white vinegar highlighter mixture for a few days for the shell to dissolve, it’s a pretty legit outcome.

The Crazy Russian hacker gives us the BEST description of the final product.

“Wow. It’s just glowing.”
