This Dude Threw A LIVE ALLIGATOR Into A Wendy’s, Now Faces Assault Charges

Florida has so many alligators that people throw them at each other as a joke. Well, that’s what Florida resident Joshua James wants you to believe, anyway.

James, 24, of Jupiter, Fla. was caught on camera allegedly huckin’ a live, 3.5-foot alligator. A LIVING ALLIGATOR. THREE. AND. A HALF. FUCKIN’ FEET LONG. From inside a truck into an open Wendy’s drive-thru window, after ordering a beverage, in October of 2015.

He was arrested on Monday, Feb. 8, and now faces several charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawfully possessing an alligator. Yes, that’s a crime.

Ya gotta license fer that ‘gator?

But, facing extreme charges, James is asking for leniency, claiming that it was all just a prank he meant to play on a friend who worked at Wendy’s. In a public apology about the incident, James claims it was, “stupid,” and said he was, “not thinking,” after a day of, “fishing and hanging out.”

Would he have been so apologetic had he not been caught and charged with agro-assault? Most people who throw alligators at other people seem to always turn over a new leaf, whether charged or not, right? Probably.

An incident report filed with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, by responding officer Nicholas Guerin, described a Wendy’s employee turning away from the open drive thru window, after handing the driver (James) a beverage, “as a male driver reaches across his vehicle toward the passenger area and throws an alligator from his vehicle into the drive thru window.”

The report also included that Guerin viewed several nearby businesses surveillance footage to determine James was the culprit. Guerin also wrote that he taped the mouth of the reptile shut, for safety precautions, before releasing the animal back into a nearby canal.

Talk about some huevos.

Anyone want to take some action on the odds the ‘gator gets picked up and tossed out again? We may never know.

James made an appearance in a Florida courtroom on Feb. 9.

The judge also told James not to have any pets. At all.
