‘Affluenza’ Teen On The Run Gets Caught Ordering Pizza In Mexico

Resident idiot-child of Texas, Ethan Couch, was arrested in 2013 on 4 counts of intoxicated manslaughter. He was 15 years old at the time and was driving around hammered, eventually crashing into an SUV used to transport the disabled and killing four people, while injuring nine others.

Judge Jean Boyd, the judge chosen to reside over the trial, gave Couch an insanely lenient punishment, consisting of only 10 years probation and a restriction from drugs, alcohol and driving, with no jail time whatsoever.

The punishment was considered light, and attempted to justify Couch’s actions by claiming that he was suffering from a newly discovered illness called “Affluenza,” in which the “victim” doesn’t realize the consequences of his actions due to his or her financial privilege.

In December of 2015, Couch and his mother Tonya Couch were reportedly on the run after not checking in with Ethan’s parole officer, even going as far as dying their hair and dramatically changing their appearances. Apparently, the duo decided to take an unsanctioned vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they galavanted up and down the beaches with no regard for their actions, furthering the notion that perhaps “Affluenza” is in fact real.

While on his vacation, Ethan had a hankering for pizza, but didn’t want to eat anything unfamiliar to him. So he did the next logical thing that an idiot on the run would do, and ordered a pizza to be delivered.

When he opened the door to get his grub, Couch was instead greeted by the authorities, who subsequently arrested him and his mother, then handed them off to immigration agents.

As of now, Couch and his mother are still currently being held by Mexican immigration, but are expected to be extradited by Wednesday.
