McDonald’s Testing Happy Meals For Adults, Calling Them ‘Mini Meals’

While we usually see fast food restaurants go bigger and crazier with their food, McDonald’s is now taking the opposite approach with its “Mini Meals.”

According to Burger Business, select markets will be testing a new “Signature burger,” to got along with a small drink and small fries for $3.99. The Signature Burger consists of two burger patties with white Cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce and Dijon mustard  on a potato bun.

Other mini meals on the menu include a McDouble, cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, or McChicken.

All the meals fall under $4, but I’m not sure how much cheaper it is. A McDouble Mini Meal is $3.39. All the contents a-la-carte would be about:

McDouble= $1.39

Large Drink= $1

Small Fries= $1.19

Total= 3.58

Total Savings= $.19

Can’t be sure for all McDonald’s, but at least in Southern California, any drink costs $1, so that means you’d only be saving pennies with these mini meal.

It’s a cute idea, but doubt it’ll lead to a mini waistline.
