Starbucks Releases A Special Birthday Cake Frappuccino

Starbucks announced they they’ll be serving a special, limited-time Birthday Cake Frappuccino from March 26-30. Sadly, it isn’t made with blended chunks of actual birthday cake. Rather, it’s a birthday-inspired drink created in honor of a two-decade landmark.

Made with hazelnut and vanilla bean and topped with raspberry-infused whipped cream, the drink is offered in celebration of the 20th birthday of Starbucks’ Frappuccino. While the combination of hazelnut and vanilla is nothing new to the quick-service coffee chain, the pink raspberry whipped cream will only be available for the next 5 days.

According to Starbucks’ CEO Howard Schultz, the company was incredibly confident that the Frappucino would do well in its debut. Starbucks didn’t even bother to test market it.
