Carl’s Jr. Takes on McDonald’s with Hearty Breakfast Platter

For the next time you’re craving an old-school diner breakfast without the diner, Carl’s Jr. has just released a new breakfast plate that would put even your local mom & pop to shame. Probably.

Available at sister store Hardee’s since 2011, Carl’s Jr.’s Hearty Breakfast Platter does the typical breakfast spread: two strips of bacon, a sausage patty, scrambled eggs, mini hash browns, and a “Made From Scratch” buttermilk biscuit. While Carl’s biscuit doesn’t come smothered with sausage gravy like Hardee’s, we can’t imagine it’s too much to ask for a little something-something on the side.

Carl’s platter is also available for only $1.99, as opposed to the $3 – 5 for the Big Breakfasts from McDonald’s. Score.
