Woo Your Prom Date With a KFC Chicken Corsage

These days, it’s not enough to ask your date to prom with a guitar at a pep rally. You can’t just not have a celebrity endorse how cool you are. Remembering her favorite flower and getting it for her in corsage form? Please, child’s play.

For those who’d prefer their prom exploits a little more (okay, a lot more) out of the box, KFC has partnered with florists Nanz & Kraft to create 100 chicken topped prom corsages. $20 buys you a wrist bouquet of baby’s breath, ribbon, and a $5 KFC gift coupon to purchase your choice of deep fried poultry — from grilled to extra crispy. So her corsage can be just as unique as she is.

ABC reports 20 of the things were already ordered as of Saturday, which means you should probably get yours online ASAP. In case you need more convincing though, here are the top three reasons chicken corsages are a brilliant idea on prom night:

1. She’ll probably be starving.

Between the too-early dinner reservation and vodka munchies, hell, you’ll probably be starving too. Hel-lo, extra crispy drumstick.

2. Roses really smell like poo-oo-ooooo.

It has just occurred to me that any senior high schoolers reading this were probably too young to understand this reference. Fuck, I’m old.

3. It’ll last longer.

Jk, expect that sombitch to be gone by the first cha cha slide.
