Burger King Japan Sells Cheap Booze, Offers Mojitos & ‘Pink’ Daiquiris

Despite Burger King’s sales in the Asia Pacific region being up 2.7% during the first quarter of 2013, the numbers were “partially offset by weakness in Japan and New Zealand.” In an effort to boost numbers in Japan, the chain will be resorting to the tried and true strategy of adding booze next to their regular fare of burgers and fries.

As of tomorrow, three select BK locations in Tokyo will be serving mojitos, “pink” daiquiris, Cuba Libres, and Long Island iced teas for $4.58 each. However, as FWF points out, there’s a catch: “The drinks have extremely limited availability; only 30 of them will be sold per day, and only between 6pm and 11pm alongside one of Burger King Japan’s new specialty rib dinners.

While this menu addition is only available for a very short-period of time, we do enjoy the thought of chowing down on greasy ribs while sipping on a cold mojito. Too bad we’d need to book a flight to Tokyo to actually make this thought a reality; way to be a tease, guys.
