‘Domino’s Live’ Cameras Let You Creep on Employees as They Make Your Order

Domino’s Live is giving customers and pizza creepers a behind-the-scenes look at a store in Salt Lake City via five cameras installed throughout their kitchen. The pilot program continues until the end of May and invites viewers to watch the making of a Domino’s pizza through real time, uncut video streaming 12 hours a day, beginning at 11am.

As someone in the office mentioned, the live video also lets you make sure no one spits in your food or throws a giant loogie onto your pepperoni pizza. Mmm, tasty.

The new online platform is an extension of  Domino’s Tracker, the chain’s page that shows you when your pizza order is placed, prepped, baked, quality checked, and sent out for delivery.

Russell Weiner, Chief Marketing Officer of Domino’s Pizza, hopes Domino’s Live will “merge the visual tradition and spirit of the pizzeria with today’s digital capabilities,” while showing consumers that the company is “committed to being transparent and welcoming.”

We checked out the live broadcast here, and we were  able to creep on pizzas being hand-tossed, slathered in tomato sauce and pepperoni, slid into the oven, then pop out all crusty and warm-looking. Hopefully this idea takes off and they install one in California. We’d love to watch a special order of an extra large pizza topped with hot sauce, bacon, sausages, beef, chicken, pepperoni, salami, cheese, olives, mushrooms, onions, jalapenos and pineapples in live-action.

Come on Domino’s, don’t leave us hanging.
