Adventure: Mariscos (Garden Grove, CA)

Yesterday, along with @rudeluv and @dezyusuf we took to the mean streets of Garden Grove, CA to find some new eats. We were hanking for some Mexican food, but we didn’t want to use our normal smartphone apps to find a location, so we drove until we found somewhere we hadn’t tried before. Sure enough, cruising past a dilapidated strip mall we spotted this lovely decore and an open sign so we had to check it out!

Rudy was hankering, and this spot definitely had some alluring personality that we hoped would carry over once we entered.

Sure enough, the place was humongous and other than two other gentlemen on their own respective lunch breaks, we had the place to ourselves (red flag usually?!).

The place had several rooms, tons of tables and a couple big screen TVs that looked like they had been around from the early 90s. We gave the place the benefit of the doubt that when night fell, it turned into some Latin disco or something. Who knows?

Wet chicken burrito, a carne asada burrito and for the vegan Dez ordered up a rice, bean and potato burrito.

Food was good, service was good and prices were homely. These guys have a couple pages on their menu dedicated to seafood and they serve breakfast all-day; next time we’re in the area we’re definitely going in on both! Eat on folks!
