Pair With a Glass of Sake: White Chocolate Wasabi Cookie Dough

While “cookie dough” isn’t your first thought when you see that petite green mound on your sushi plate, maybe it’s your second, third or even forth thought. Or maybe not. Because White Chocolate Wasabi Cookies sound like just another food hybrid meant to astonish your palate but not necessarily please it.

Well, the folks at Jen & Joe’s are hoping to convince us otherwise. Their frozen, yet staunchly artificial-and-preservative-free cookie dough, promises to bring a “sweet, creamy white chocolate” flavor that’s balanced by the “gentle heat of wasabi.” Admittedly, this sounds intriguing, especially when curiosities like wasabi-flavored Kit Kats exist.

Of course, rather than pairing these cookies with a glass of milk, the brand recommends enjoying them with “a glass of sake” instead.

The line also carries less ambitious flavors such as Chocolate Chunk and Oatmeal Toffee, which can probably be used to cool down if the wasabi dough proves to be hot. At the moment, they’re offered at local supermarkets in Texas or online for $60, 6 boxes.
