KFC’s Big Boss Burger Looks Like a Big Mac with Fried Chicken

KFC Big Boss

When it comes to the Big Mac, there have been many contenders for the throne through the years. We’ve seen incarnations of the famous McDonald’s sandwich ranging from the Big Carl to the Bonus Jack and even the Big King. Now, KFC Canada has thrown their buckets into the arena with the new Big Boss sandwich.

Starting off like a regular Big Mac, the sandwich comes with cheese, pickles, onions and a signature special sauce on a sesame seed bun. Now here’s where things take a pretty hard left turn. Instead of two burger patties, the Big Boss boasts two crispy breaded all-white meat chicken filets.

With other fast food chains simply recreating the Big Mac, KFC seems to have taken the “no fucks given” route and made it their own. I mean, we’ve all seen the Double Down right?

Sadly, the Big Boss is only available at Canadian locations. Our arteries weep.

That ruined my appetite just looking at it. Which is cool. I can print this and hang it on my fridge and look at it whenever I’m in the mood to snack.

hahahahah that’s an awesome idea i had the same turn-off when i looked at it

Let’s print it and hang it up. When you get hungry unnecessarily, look at the pic. Then close fridge, turn away and walk into the other room. Munchies cured.

But I am hungrier having looked at it, dood.

            Uh-oh! Not good.

I suppose it wouldn’t be TOO bad if didn’t have:

            1) Nasty looking sauce.
            2) A piece of cold-looking, stiff, unmelted cheese.
            3) Pickles.

Pickles and chicken should NEVER be on the same plate, let alone the same sandwich. Not to mention the extra slice of bread, which is overkill on a sandwich that already contains BREADED meat.

Take all those things away and it MIGHT just look edible.

Pickles ALWAYS belong on chicken sandwiches.

          • Linda Lovelush

Ew, really? Okay, well, to each his own, I suppose ;)

          • Falkon Vind

I agree with the guy about the pickles dood. And the cheese is only
unmelted because the picture isn’t a sandwich. The picture is food art
            dood. Delicious looking food art.

            What?!?! It’s not real?!?!?

Haha, you’re probably right because the actual food you receive NEVER looks like that.

I think it “looks” interesting in the glamor shot but the reality is going to look far different & the thing probably has a calorie and sodium count thats through the roof!

      • Linda Lovelush

        Amen to that!

      • Gaz

Unhealthy fast food? Wow, imagine that.

This is old hat, at least for me. As early as three years ago I was ordering a Big Mac at McDonalds and having them sub out the beef for two McChicken patties. Once I even tried bacon, but the extra cost for bacon didn’t really give a lot of bacon so it was somewhat anti-climicatic.

To follow up on the “Big McChicken” as my office colleague called it, I went even further with a calorie laden burger so large that the McDonalds manager apologised for not being able to close the box.
