You Can Finally Cook Wendy’s Square Burger Patties And Bacon At Home

Wendy’s is bringing the Baconator experience to your fridge. The fast food giant has quietly rolled out a new line of grocery products, including its signature double-smoked bacon and square burger patties, now available in select Kroger and King Soopers locations.

Spotted first in Kentucky, Ohio, and Colorado, the new retail items are being marketed as “restaurant-inspired,” with thick-cut bacon and one-pound packs of “fresh, never frozen” burger patties. While Wendy’s hasn’t confirmed if these match their in-store ingredients exactly, the move is part of a test to gauge consumer demand outside the drive-thru.

This product expansion follows its recently announced Baconator-flavored Cheez-IT, Frosty Flavors with Pop-Tarts and OREO Mixes, and Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions.

Fan response is already split. Some are eager to recreate Baconators at home while others are skeptical of what they deem to be essentially branded bacon. Either way, it’s clear Wendy’s is thinking beyond the counter.
