‘The Last of Us’ Drops a High-Caffeine Coffee—Fueled By Mushrooms And Cordyceps, Naturally

In an exciting blend of pop culture and wellness, Four Sigmatic, the leading functional coffee brand, has teamed up with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to introduce The Last of Us High Caffeine Organic Ground Coffee. This new coffee blend which is “infected” with focus and energy, brings a distinct post-apocalyptic twist to your morning routine, inspired by one of my personal favorite hit franchises’ The Last of Us featuring my favorite “daddy” dreamboat – Pedro Pascal.

Featuring organic Arabica coffee blended with natural performance enhancers like cordyceps and lion’s mane mushrooms, this coffee aims to boost cognition and energy without the dreaded jitters. It’s enriched with vitamin B12 and coffee bean extract to enhance focus. The dark roast promises a rich, smooth taste highlighted by notes of dark chocolate. While writing this, I currently find myself fiending to try a bag for myself to give me a second wind.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Sony Pictures to combine our expertise in mushroom coffee with the storyline of The Last of Us,” said Tero Isokauppila, Founder and CEO of Four Sigmatic. Given the central role of Cordyceps, the parasitic fungus in the series, this collaboration feels like a literal organic fit for The Last of Us enthusiasts seeking vigor and a reliable daily boost for their daily routines when they’re not binging watching the show.

The coffee is now available through FourSigmatic.com and will hit shelves at Sprouts Farmers Market, Fresh Thyme, and Amazon by April. It retails at $19.99 per 10 oz bag. This launch is perfectly timed ahead of the seven-episode second season of The Last of Us, premiering April 13 on HBO and Max, setting up a caffeine-fueled anticipation for fans old and hopefully new.
