This Is What A Thanksgiving Meal Looks Like In Outer Space

Just because you’re orbiting in space, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a warm Thanksgiving dinner.

While we sit at home with our families, eating giant turkeys and stuffing, US astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren will be eating from hundreds of miles above us.

Te astronauts made a video showing what their Thanksgiving dinner will look like aboard the International Space Station, and while it’s not quite the same as a meal you might see from Earthlings, at least it’s something.

In their little space baggies they had some smoked turkey, candied yams, au gratin potatoes and rehydratable corn.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they have any gravy, but on the plus side, at least they’ll have the day off. Yes, astronauts get Thanksgiving off, too.

While the meal might not look that appealing, at least they’re in outer freakin’ space, looking down at the earth in all it’s beauty.
