Taco Bell’s New Southwest Hot Chicken Crunchwrap Now Testing In One US City

Taco Bell is back in its bag, and this time, it’s bringing some serious heat to the Crunchwrap. Teaming up with Chef Lawrence ‘LT’ Smith from its TBX program, the chain is testing the new Southwest Hot Chicken Crunchwrap in Cincinnati starting February 27—with prices ranging from $5.99 to $6.99 depending on location.

This isn’t just any Crunchwrap. First previewed in October 2024 at an exclusive TBX event in New York City, this version packs Taco Bell’s crispy chicken strips dusted in a bold chile seasoning, layered with a three-cheese blend, shredded cabbage, a sweet & spicy hot sauce, and cool reduced-fat sour cream—all wrapped up in that signature grilled tortilla.

The result? A fiery, flavor-packed bite that hits all the right notes—crunchy, spicy, creamy, and straight-up delicious. Will it get a nationwide rollout? That depends on Cincinnati’s verdict. But if you’re in the area, consider this your sign to be one of the first to taste what could be Taco Bell’s next big menu win.
