Taco Bell Just Brought Its Volcano Era Back With A New Quesarito
Taco Bell is officially bringing the Volcano era back, and it’s leading with a new heavy hitter.
Starting January 8, the chain is launching the Volcano Quesarito, a limited-time return to heat that also introduces Volcano Sauce, a new take on the cult-favorite Lava Sauce fans have been missing for years.
Volcano Sauce keeps the creamy, cheesy base people remember, but pushes the spice forward in a way that feels built for today’s heat chasers. Familiar, louder, and clearly not here to play it safe.
The Volcano Quesarito, priced at $4.99 at participating locations, stacks seasoned beef, seasoned rice, and sour cream inside a burrito that’s wrapped in a grilled quesadilla packed with melted cheese, Nacho Cheese sauce, and Volcano Sauce. It’s peak Taco Bell logic, now with consequences.
Rewards Members can go even deeper with the Volcano Style Menu, available exclusively in the app. The lineup gives Volcano Sauce the keys to classics like the Crunchy Taco, Crunchwrap, Cheesy G, Steak Fries, and BellGrande.
Taco Bell is also dropping two seasonal drinks at Live Más Cafés: a Frozen Mexican Hot Cocoa and a Dirty Mountain Dew Baja Blast Freeze, both leaning into the same bold, indulgent energy.
The Volcano menu is only here for a limited time, but Taco Bell clearly knows what kind of energy this sauce brings back.
