Sweat Meats: Meat Plush Toys

The brainchild of San Francisco product designer Lauren Venell, originally constructed the first “Hambone” plush as a personal art project, but the response to her work was so wild she transformed the entire project into Sweet Meats to keep the people happy. Currently available in three styles (Stuff Boeuf t-bone Steak, Porky Chop and Hambone) and two sizes (Individual and Family). Each meat is handmade and in limited editions of 600 (Individual) and 300 (Family). The pricing on these toys range from $17.99  to $179.99 for the entire collection. Coming from a family with butchers on both sides of her lineage, I’m sure Venell is making her family proud. Her company mission statement reminds us that they are extremely environmentally and socially responsible, utilizing 100% recycled cuddly fleece and recycled dye and are packaged in 100% recyclable and recycled gift wrapping and packaging.
