Subway’s Featured $5 Footlong of January — Chipotle Chicken & Cheese

Subway restaurant is taking no chances on jumping ship from their popular Featured $5 Footlong specials into 2012. Starting off the new year, the chain is offering up their Chipotle Chicken & Cheese variety for $5 throughout the entire month of January. The sandwich features the brand’s “tender, juicy chicken” topped with melting cheese and a squirt of Chipotle Southwest Sauce for a combination of flavor that aims to be creamy, smoky and “subtly spicy.”

The 6″ version will set you back 450 calories, 17.5 grams of fat, 46 grams of carbs with 27 grams of protein. So for the $5 footlong version, double all those numbers to get the proper nutritional intake on each sandwich. Not the healthiest sub on their menu, but it’s not gonna send your arteries into shock…until you add bacon. Go ahead. Add bacon. It’s 2012, why not?
