This Kid ACTUALLY Got Arrested For Filling Up A Water Cup With Soda

No matter what anyone tells you, there’s no such thing as free soda at McDonald’s, and if you get caught trying the old “Sprite in the water cup” trick, you could be looking at criminal charges. That’s a lesson some punk-ass 18-year-old in Arkansas learned the hard way.

It started when Cody Morris and his friends thought they were slick and tried to get some free soda, but picked the wrong McDonald’s.

According to reports, Morris and two others ordered three large waters from the drive-thru, but then the trio went inside the McDonald’s, dumped their water out and began filling their cups with soda.

A manager tried to stop the soda thieves, two of them gave up their cups, but Morris did not. The manager wasn’t backing down and stood behind Morris’ car in an attempt to stop him, but instead Morris hit him with the vehicle.

Morris was arrested April 19, charged with robbery, and was later released the same day on $2,500 bond.

For whatever reason, it does not appear he was charged with hit-and-run on the manager. Contradictory to multiple reports, Morris was not charged with a felony.

The Washington County Detention Center’s website indicates that Morris has another hearing on May 20.

We hope this experience put an end to Morris’ soda stealing days, because there’s nothing worse than becoming a repeat offender.
