Why It Takes $900 To Make A Root Beer Float From Scratch

Root beer floats shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to make, but if you’re making one from scratch, it apparently takes an entire journey.

When we say, ‘From scratch,’ we mean things like heading out into the wilderness, gathering roots and spices, milking a goat, and putting it all together for a hand-made root beer float.

Andy George of has a YouTube channel called How To Make Everything, where he goes out of his way to make things from scratch, and it’s usually an expensive, time consuming process.

The entire experience for the root beer float cost him $900 and took him 1,100 miles of travel time.

George learned how to hand-make the root beer, hand-make ice cream and probably would have hand-made the cup if he had thought of it.
