This Artist’s Food Candles Look So Real You Might Just Eat Them

Upon first glance, one could easily mistake these wax melts for actual edible food. Created by 29-year-old artist Kaylee Castleberry, Cravings4Candles began as a hobby before turning into a family business with a growing Instagram following.

The deliciously detailed wax melts are painstakingly made by experimenting with custom molds, and mixing various waxes together to recreate the realistic textures of desserts and savory foods. From an over-easy fried egg to a crab boil complete with corn on the cob and sprinkles of seasoning, the wax melts are artistically amazing and feature stunning realism.

Castleberry shares a video of each, demonstrating the dynamic details. For example, one wax melt looks just like a bowl of saucy Hamburger Helper; it’s so realistic, you can take a spoon and scoop around the individual noodles, or place a scoop into a wax melt warmer and watch it magically dissolve into a pool of wax. On top of that, the trippiest part of it all is that the scents can be personalized. That means the Hamburger Helper wax melt can smell like vanilla.

Not only are they super cool, they’re affordably fun gifts for food-lovers, or anyone with a quirky personality. If you have any birthdays or special occasions around the corner, head over to the Cravings4Candles shop, where you’ll find a whole array of Castleberry’s delicious looking wax melt foods. Just make sure you don’t try eating them!
