Goose Island’s annual Bourbon County releases are legendary—highly sought-after, limited-edition barrel-aged stouts that fans line up for every Black Friday. Known for their rich, complex flavors and collectible variations, the series has built a cult following. And now, for the first time ever, Goose Island is releasing its original Bourbon County Stout in convenient 10-ounce bottle 4-packs.

While the recipe remains unchanged, the new format gives consumers more opportunities to experience the beer that started all the hype. Bourbon Still aged to perfection in freshly emptied bourbon barrels, this big, rich stout continues to show expressions of fudge, vanilla, and caramelized sugar for both Bourbon and beer fans.

County Brand Original Stout will be sold exclusively in this new format, while the rest of the family remains in 16.9 oz bottles. This move marks the next evolution for the Bourbon County family—offering more moments to crack open this beautifully complex stout. Whether you’re sharing with friends during a Bourbon County tasting, enjoying a date night at your favorite restaurant, or sipping fireside in the backyard, this new size makes it easier than ever to elevate the everyday.

Each year, Goose Island Beer Co. releases the Bourbon County Brand Stout family to honor its legacy as the creator of the world’s first bourbon barrel-aged stout. At the heart of that legacy is Bourbon County Brand Original Stout—the pioneering imperial stout that, over thirty years ago, defined an entire style of beer.

The bottles will be available starting Black Friday, alongside the other variants for 2025.
