Disney’s Opening A Restaurant That Would Have Diners Feel Like They’re In Outer Space

Disney just held its version of Comic Con, as its D23 Expo revealed a lot of exciting goodies for fans to geek out on.

One of the coolest announcements made for its Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, was the plan to open a Mission Space restaurant that makes the diner feel as if they are eating in the depths of outer space.

The restaurant will be built near the Mission: Space attraction at Epcot Center, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

While there weren’t many more details given about the restaurant, there was an artist rendition of what the restaurant will look like, and there’s a lot of exciting features to speculate on.

The drawing shows what look to be windows that peer out into space as you’re floating above Earth. These said walls look like they might be HD screens, but knowing Disney, they’ll probably go all out to make it feel like you’re really looking out into the universe.

There are also tables with waiters serving customers shown in the drawing, so it looks like it won’t just be a fast casual type of restaurant, but a sit-down dining experience.

The Disney Food blog stated the restaurant is set to be open, “within the next couple of years,” so we have that to look forward to in the near future.
