McDonald’s Japan Adding Sweet Red Bean Pies for a Limited Time

McDonalds-Japan-Sweet-Bean

Apple Pies? Nah, son. McDonald’s Japan is introducing Anko Pies for the fall season. Anko, also known as sweet red beans, is a popular base filling for snacks and sweets throughout Asia. Combining a rich sweetness with a subtle saltiness, it’s definitely a noticeable difference from a standard fruit pie.

The Anko Pies are available starting Oct. 1 at participating McDonald’s Japan locations for 124 yen ($1.10 US). The pies will only be available for a limited time through November. Though two months should be plenty of time to get your fill for the year, right?

It should also be noted that McDonald’s Japan plans on selling the pies beginning at 5 a.m. each morning until 4:59 a.m. In case anyone shows up within that pie-less minute and can’t wait for them any longer, you’re shit out of luck.
