McDonald’s Is Bringing Honey Butter To Breakfast With Its New Biscuit Sandwich

McDonald’s is giving its breakfast menu a sweet upgrade with the new Honey Butter Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, available for a limited time at participating locations nationwide.

For the uninitiated, honey butter has been having a moment, from Honey Butter Chips to the viral Honey Butter Toast trend. Long before the recent wave of popularity, however, Whataburger helped put the flavor combination on the map with its now-iconic Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, which debuted in the early 2000s before the chain eventually bottled the sauce for retail shelves.

Now, McDonald’s is putting its own spin on the trend by taking its classic bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and topping it with a new Honey Brown Butter sauce. The sandwich features bacon, a folded egg, melty cheese, and the sweet-savory spread, all tucked inside a warm buttermilk biscuit.

The limited-time Honey Butter Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit is available beginning today while supplies last at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide.
