McDonald’s Is Testing A Pulled Pork Sandwich

McDonald’s appears to be trying out a new Pulled Pork sandwich, reports Brand Eating. A reader of the food site sent a photo of the promotion taking place in Butler, Indiana.

The new sandwich is made with pulled pork slathered with barbecue sauce, pickles and squeezed between two sesame seed buns. Think the McRib, only pulled and no onions. Sources say the sandwich doesn’t taste too bad, although it could definitely use more meat.

Patrons have the option of choosing 2 sandwiches for $5 or getting a combo of one sandwich, fries and drink for $5. The sandwich, so far, is only available for a limited time.

If successful, could the new menu item replaced the beloved McRib? Guess we’ll have to see.
