These Cheesy Taquitos Are Stuffed With Lobster And Clam Chowder

Orange County’s Slapfish has changed the way we look at seafood dishes by way of some unconventionally delicious tactics like smothering fries with clam chowder, and topping burgers with lobster. Chef Andrew Gruel is always elevating his creations, and at the 2016 Oozefest in Santa Ana, he’s doing it again with Lobster Taquitos.

Mixing a traditional Mexican food with their Pure Maine lobster, Slapfish is hoping to reclaim the “Best Food” title at the Southern California festival this weekend.

The taquitos will be stuffed with lobster cheddar cheese, creamy clam chowder, and Slapfish’s signature hot sauce.

Oozefest will take place on October 15 and 16, and Slapfish will be handing out these Lobster Taquitos on both days, in the VIP section of the festival.

The VIP section is all you can eat and drink, with over 30 restaurants and breweries handing out exclusive food items, such as Slapfish’s taquitos.

VIP tickets are still available for $50, or if you want to check out the standard “pay as you go” experience, the Oozefest Marketplace will have its own vendors, such as Kogi BBQ, and the Naughty Churro, selling exclusive food as well.
