Lebanon Breaks Japan’s World Record For Biggest Bucket Of Chicken Nuggets
There are Guinness World Records for all sorts of hilariously random things. For example, a Serbian man named Dalibor Jablanovic holds the world record for balancing 31 spoons on his face, while the Chinese company, Xiangnian Food Co., Ltd, is known for making the longest noodle ever, measuring 3,084 meters (10,119 feet 1.92 inches). As wild as these, and many other, records sound, a little levity is what we’ve come to love about the Guinness World Records.
The latest random, yet in this case, awesome, food-related Guinness World Record was given to Wilco PM, a Lebanon-based poultry products company that has just created the biggest chicken nugget bucket ever, producing 85,000 chicken nugget pieces in a bucket that came to weigh 2,026 kilograms (4466.565 pounds).
In a video shared by @placesbyalaa, the well-organized Wilco PM team can be seen daisy chaining large plastic sacks of pre-cooked chicken nuggets into a huge branded bucket, surrounded by festival-goers and Guinness’s watchful adjudicators.
You can’t help but laugh at the sight of serious-faced judges with clipboards probing a gargantuan chicken nugget bucket. At the same time, it’s the dedication and rigorous auditing that make Guinness a respected organization.
To celebrate the victory, the Wilco PM popped some champagne bottles and then handed out chicken nuggets to the crowd. According to the post, Japan was the previous record-holder, though I was unable to find any information on the Guinness website confirming that. Either way, congrats to Wilco PM and Lebanon on the win!
