Heinz Canada Announces Line Of Mayo-Style Sauces, Including A Pickle Flavor
Years from now, we’ll read stories about the great pickle craze of the 2020s. Heinz continues the trend with a new pickle-flavored mayonnaise sauce designed for your favorite fried finger foods. It blends the brand’s signature mayo taste with dill-forward zest, and is one of four new flavors that’s part of the brand’s expanding line of mayo sauces, which includes eight in total. Here’s the skinny on the new sauces, and sadly, they will only be available in Canada:
- Smoky Bacon Flavour Mayonnaise-Style Sauce: A bold blend of smoky bacon flavor and creamy mayonnaise, perfect for adding savoury depth to chicken tenders, fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks.
- Garlic Parmesan Flavour Mayonnaise-Style Sauce: Layering fragrant garlic and creamy parmesan flavor, ideal for dipping kabobs, fries, potato wedges, samosas, and chicken tenders.
- Mango Habanero Mayonnaise-Style Sauce: A fusion of sweet mango and spicy habanero bring a balanced kick to onion rings, chicken tenders, coconut shrimp, and fries.
- Pickle Mayonnaise-Style Sauce: A tangy twist of pickles and creamy mayonnaise best paired with chicken wings, fries, nuggets, onion rings, and more.
“While mayo may be in the top five when it comes to condiments, flavoured options on the market are limited, causing the nearly three quarters of Canadians who dip mayo to have to mix it with other sauces like ketchup or hot sauce,” the company said in a press release.
Other flavors include Mayochup, Sriracha, Garlic and Real Mayonnaise. The full lineup can be found at retailers throughout Canada. As for us Americans, time to ask your Canadian homies for the hook-up.
