Furious Pete Attempts The World Record For Hands-Free Hot Dog Chugging

Furious Pete, well known to us for his insanely competitive eating challenges, stays living the dream, and this week is no different. Whether he’s crushing a Chipotle-sized burrito in 30 seconds, trying to complete the 1,000 Mint Tic Tac challenge, or taking down the whole menu at Costco, Pete stays hungry.

Pete recently announced via his YouTube channel he would be showcasing Guinness Book of World Record setting and breaking challenge videos, and he didn’t disappoint.

Pete’s first Guinness attempt was to set a world record for the fastest time eating a hot dog with no hands.

Watch Pete go in!

The only rules Pete needed to follow was to not use his hands while eating a hot dog (a bun, sausage and at least one condiment, in this case ketchup). His first attempt was clocked at 27.13 seconds. Not bad, but we know Pete can do way better.

Pete’s second attempt was botched because he left some crumbs on the plate, finishing in about 30 seconds.

Damn, we had no idea that eating a hot dog without the use of hands would look this challenging. Sorry, Pete, even though we consider you the man when it comes to culinary challenges — you look like a small snake taking down a big gopher when you’re grubbin’ on hot dogs hands free.

Still, it really doesn’t matter what it looked like.

Pete achieved the record.

The new Guinness World Record for the fastest time eating a hot dog with no hands was clocked at 23.14 seconds. Nice job, Pete! We can’t wait for the next record-breaking challenge!
