Where You Can Eat Fast Food While On These 5 Popular Diets [INFOGRAPHIC]

If you're on a diet, one of the biggest struggles you may have is finding fast food options that fit your nutritional restrictions. While on the go, when fast food may be the only option, it can be a real struggle to stay the course as a result. Fortunately, a new study from insurance firm NetQuote also serves as a very handy resource for how to stick to your diet at five different major fast food chains.

NetQuote's study looks at the five most common diets in the country (vegetarian, vegan, low-carb, pescatarian, and Mediterranean) and analyzes what people on each of those lifestyles can consume at popular chains like Taco Bell, Starbucks, McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Wendy's. Each brand's menu options for a particular diet, along with how many total dishes each fast food franchise offers across the entire range of analyzed diets, can be found in NetQuote's infographic below.

What's interesting to note here is that out of all the fast food brands evaluated, Taco Bell is clearly head and shoulders above the rest in terms of available options. The chain offers a staggering 76 selections across all five diets, easily eclipsing the chain with the next highest amount of choices (Starbucks, with 39). That definitely further cements Taco Bell's status as one of the healthiest fast food chains in America.

Additionally, none of the chains really offer many options for Mediterranean or vegan consumers just yet. That's definitely a place where all of fast food can grow and begin to provide more options if they hope to draw in more new customers.

Still, it's heartening to see so many menu items available for those of us on diets, and if you're one of those people, hopefully this infographic helps you the next time you're in the mood for fast food.
