Celebrity or Bartender? Guy Fieri’s Hilarious Mix-Up at Stallone’s Mansion Party

When it comes to Food Network stars, Guy Fieri is a polarizing figure—you either love him or hate him. Is it the signature bleached hair? His enthusiastic love for showcasing the best roadside diners? Or maybe it’s his new Smokehouse BBQ demo station at Stagecoach? Whatever it is, he’s impossible to miss and even harder to forget. Well, unless he’s wearing his signature denim jacket at a Sylvester Stallone party—then all bets are off.

Earlier this month, Graham Bensinger, host of the popular podcast “In Depth With Graham Bensinger,” traveled to Sonoma County to chat with the Mayor of Flavortown himself. During their conversation, Fieri shared a hilarious story of mistaken identity from a 2020 Sylvester Stallone house party.

Picture this: You’re Guy Fieri, dressed in your classic outfit, and some woman named Karen mistakes you for a bartender, saying, “Lose the jacket and get going.” Talk about embarrassing—well, for her at least. One reason this side of the room (including myself) loves Fieri is his down-to-earth personality. Instead of letting the mistake bruise his ego, he shared that they “had a great laugh.”

Despite winning shows like Next Food Network Star, hosting Emmy-nominated series like Guy’s Big Bite, leading top-rated shows such as Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, and being one of only three celebrity chefs to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (alongside Bobby Flay and Wolfgang Puck), Fieri still couldn’t escape a case of mistaken identity.
