Fun fact: blue moons aren’t actually blue. However, Blue Moon Brewing Company is stepping in to turn its beer literally blue—but just for one weekend.

The brand is bringing a limited-time blue beer to participating bars across the country as Blue Moon reimagines its signature draft pour. For one weekend only (May 29–31), participating bars across the country will serve Blue Moon Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale reimagined for the occasion with a vibrant blue hue.

“We can’t do much about the color of the moon in the sky, but we can do something about the one in your glass. So for one weekend, we’re making Blue Moon, well … actually blue,” said Elizabeth Hitch, VP of Marketing, Above Premium Beer at Molson Coors Beverage Company. “Consider it us making good on a promise the night sky can never quite keep.”

If your local bar isn’t pouring the blue brew, you can make a Bright Side of the Moon, a specialty cocktail from Blue Moon, at home. Visit Blue Moon’s website for the full recipe.

Blue Moon’s blue beer in more than 30 markets across the U.S. from May 29 to May 31.
