140th Anniversary Limited Edition Heineken Bottle

Heineken recently held a design challenge that attracted over 30,000 entries from more than 100 countries, all of which were vying for the chance to call the 140th Heineken birthday bottle design their own. The ‘connections’ themed brief for the design ended up pairing two designers over 9,000 miles apart to create a design that will appear on 1 million Heineken bottles.

The winners, design student Rodolfo Kusulas of Monterrey, Mexico and freelance designer Lee Dunford of Sydney, Australia, linked up after several rounds of judging to incorporate a design that summarizes ‘how our world communicates through time.’ The star studded design will be appear on bottles sold through an exclusive Limited Edition gift pack, available around the world from December 2012.
