Umami Burger Interprets a Pizza in High-end Burger Form

It’s called the Umami Supreme, a pizza and burger mashup by the talented Umami Burger test kitchen team.

Created by chef John Herndon for restaurant blog Eater Los Angeles, the Umami Supreme is a mouthwatering pepperoni and sausage blend wagyu beef patty topped with a house-made pizza sauce, melted burrata cheese, and three types of mushrooms sauteed in thyme, oregano, red wine, and garlic.

The burger is currently available for a limited time for $12 at three of the chain’s Los Angeles locations: Urban, Valli and UMAMIcatessen.
