Smashburger Introduces the Wedge Club Burger

Smashburger, a quick service burger chain with 156 locations in the US, has recently announced the Wedge Club Burger as its latest new menu offering available through June 4th.

The new burger includes includes applewood smoked bacon, blue cheese crumbles, iceberg lettuce wedge, tomato, red onion and blue cheese dressing on a butter toasted egg bun. And for those of you who don’t eat beef but religiously declare that chicken and turkey are A-OK – you can Wedge Club the chicken sandwich as well. Either sandwich will cost you $5.99.

‘Applewood smoked bacon’ seems to be all the trend this year since Wendy’s, Red Robin and New York’s Zinburger have all announced items this year featuring the specialty bacon as the premier topping, with the G-Men burger from Zinburger having a similar resemblance to the new Smashburger option (brioche bun, lettuce strips and mayo).

If you check out the Smashburger Facebook Page  on May 10th they’ll be offering a free entree with any Wedge Club purchase, so stay tuned.
