Taco Bell Quietly Tested Some Wild New Menu Items At Its Celebrity Golf Tournament
Taco Bell recently traded its drive-thru for the fairway with the inaugural Live Más Open, a celebrity golf tournament hosted by Kevin Hart at The Ranch at Laguna Beach on November 2. The nine-hole competition brought together celebrities, pro athletes, creators, and fans for an unconventional day of golf, complete with on-course challenges and a Taco Bell drive-thru serving exclusive food.
And while the tournament had plenty of star power, some of the most interesting action happened off the greens, where Taco Bell was serving up a handful of never-before-seen menu creations.
Among the new items spotted were the Fire Piña Hot Dog, Lemon Pepper Ranch Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets, Mini Pimento Cheese Quesarito, and Avalanche Taco. Yes, Taco Bell made a glizzy.
The Fire Piña Hot Dog was an especially interesting offering, featuring a hot dog tucked into flatbread with pineapple, pickled red onions, cotija cheese, and sauces. The other creations offered their own twists on familiar Taco Bell territory, from the Southern-inspired Mini Pimento Cheese Quesarito to the Lemon Pepper Ranch Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets.
For now, these items remain exclusive to the event, with no confirmed plans for a nationwide release. Still, considering Taco Bell’s habit of experimenting with unexpected menu mashups, it’s worth keeping an eye on whether any of these creations eventually make their way to the drive-thru.
Fans can catch the Live Más Open when it premieres on Peacock on November 20. The winning foursome will also get to help bring back a Taco Bell menu item for a limited-time nationwide run in 2027.
