Amazon Expands Same-Day Delivery To 1-Hour And 3-Hour Options
Amazon same-day delivery just got an upgrade. Customers can now order over 90,000 products and receive them in 3 hours or less, from everyday pantry items and cleaning supplies to health and beauty products, over-the-counter medications, electronics, toys, clothing, home and garden items, and more.
Eligible products feature a 1-hour or 3-hour delivery message next to their listings on the Amazon website and app. Customers can also search for these items directly using a new filter option or browse through a dedicated storefront page.
Prime members pay $9.99 for 1-hour delivery and $4.99 for 3-hour delivery. Non-Prime customers pay $19.99 for 1-hour delivery and $14.99 for 3-hour delivery.
“Our customers are busier than ever and are looking for new ways to save time while keeping their households running,” said Udit Madan, senior vice president of Worldwide Operations at Amazon. “We saw an opportunity to use our unique operational expertise and delivery network to help make customers’ lives a little easier while unlocking even more value for Prime members.”
Amazon now offers 1-hour delivery in hundreds of U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Houston, Washington D.C., Des Moines, and Boise. The company also offers 3-hour delivery in over 2,000 large, mid-size, and small cities across the nation.
