Disney Reveals Its Día de los Muertos Menu—Here’s What’s On It

The Spirit of Día de los Muertos returns to Disney California Adventure Park on August 22, along with new eats to enjoy at Plaza de la Familia. For those unfamiliar with the celebration, Plaza de la Familia is inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) and the Pixar film Coco, which follows a young boy’s journey into the Land of the Dead in search of his deceased great-great-grandfather. 

Plaza de la Familia’s new food items can be found throughout the park and include savory, sweet, and thirst-quenching options. Here is a full rundown of the new additions:

Plaza Garden Grill

  • Achiote Half Chicken: Roasted achiote-marinated chicken served with Spanish rice, refried beans, and nopal salad (New)  
  • Loaded Chicken Quesadilla: With achiote chicken and roasted peppers & onions, topped with chipotle crema, guacamole, and pico de gallo (New)
  • Buñuelos Biónico: Fried tortilla chips coated in cinnamon and sugar, loaded with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, and sweetened condensed banana milk (New) 
  • Pineapple Pomegranate Lemonade: (Non-alcoholic) (New) 
  • Apple Cider Margarita: Tequila, apple cider, and lime with a cinnamon sugar rim (New) 
  • Fruity Lemonade Cocktail: Tequila, pineapple and pomegranate lemonade (New) 
  • Ogopogo Brewing: La Llorona Mexican Lager (New) 
  • 2 Towns Ciderhouse: Made Marion Blackberry (New) 
  • Offshoot Beer Co.: Relax Hazy IPA (New) 

Señor Buzz Churros and Churros near Goofy’s Sky School 

  • Strawberry Horchata Churro: Classic churro rolled in horchata sugar, topped with horchata whipped topping, caramel sauce, and fresh strawberries (New)
